Cruse Training Courses
Dealing with bereaved people is not easy and, for most of us, it is not something which comes naturally. It is therefore, important that our trainers are very experienced volunteers, who have helped many bereaved people and who have delivered many courses over the years.
The courses themselves are designed to give people solid skills in understanding and communicating with bereaved people. All our bereavement volunteers have to make a commitment to take Cruse courses.
We are currently running an Awareness in Bereavement Care Course. Our next course will start either late 2017 or early 2018 in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
The course runs over 8 Saturdays. Each session consists of a talk or other presentation and time for participants to explore their own feelings and practice skills in small groups. All volunteers must complete this course before becoming a volunteer. We also welcome those who don't wish to become a volunteer onto the course. The fee for this excellent course is £240.
But of course there are many other people who could benefit from our training. Perhaps this is particularly true for those working in the health and social service fields. Our training would benefit a range of professional counsellors from many different fields who need to deal with bereavement and the issues arising from it.
We also provide bespoke half-day training for Managers and HR staff in the affects of grief and the practical support that employers can offer. There are a number of publications which produce research on Grief at Work; however many of these are for subscribers only. To access further information follow this link to:
